My husband and I are here last night and really enjoyed it. We shared chips and guac and salsa, then a half chicken with two small sides. For the side we ordered the black beans and the sweet potatoes. Everything was good, but the beans were a bit boring. Thankfully the give you a ton of salsas and also chimichurri to use, so much so that we realized we really didn't need to order a separate salsa for our chips. They have lots of drink options. I went with a rotating kombucha and my husband got the Taco Truck beer, both were good. My only complaint is that I had to ask a lot of questions to order, and I felt the person at the counter could offer people suggestions and it would really help (like, "you probably don't need an extra salsa since the meal already comes with two"). Also, they forgot to actually give my husband the beer he ordered, so he had to go back up and ask for it. The restaurant was clean though, and nicely decorated. We'll be back for the chicken for sure.

We went here for dinner. We were warmly welcomed by the cashier. The atmosphere was serene and there was plenty of seating whether dining alone or with a large group. We had the burritos (chicken and vegetarian) along with the rotisserie chicken plate. All came with a variety of salsas and each was delicious. The burritos were large and flavorful. The plate included roasted sweet potatoes and a side of coleslaw. Plenty of yummy food. We all left full and satisfied!

i came here after hiking Maggie's Peak and i would absolutely go again and recommend to anyone!!! service was good and the restaurant was nice- definitely appreciated using a clean bathroom after spending the day outside and using the parks' "restrooms". this place and base camp pizza are probably now my top 2 restaurants in south lake tahoe now. i got the tri-tip and the pork tacos - the pork was definitely way better than the tri-tip but the tri-tip was still pretty good. what i liked was that you could definitely taste the quality of the ingredients which made me + my body feel really happy after a morning of hiking. my dad got the fish tacos and my mom got the verde burrito and both enjoyed their plates. my mom's only comment was that there wasn't a lot of sweet potato in her burrito. i also will say that each of the dishes comes with exactly 3 tortilla chips which is kind of random to me? not sure why they don't just bring out chips and salsa for the table or at least give a couple more chips with each meal to tie it together - it's not a huge deal but in my opinion providing so few gives a worse impression than having none at all but that's neither here nor there. having said that, definitely come here if you want a quality & nourishing meal !

This is a great healthy Mexican cafe in South Lake Tahoe. The clean and modern dining room was very welcoming and so was the friendly service. It was also a pleasant surprise to see that the menu has options like roasted sweet potatoes, non dairy coleslaw, cauliflower rice, and kombucha. My husband and I shared several delicious items. We started with the guacamole and chips, which tasted freshly made, and the shishito peppers, which were perfectly seasoned with salt and a lime wedge. The fish tacos were on point with grilled fish and crunchy non dairy coleslaw. The winner of the day was the combo plate of rotisserie chicken and tri-tip with a side of chimichurri sauce. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and roasted and the tri-tip sooo tender. The side of chimichurri was so good I wanted to put it on everything on my plate, and I did! It tasted great on the roasted sweet potatoes, the Cole slaw, and the chicken. I can't wait to eat here again!

The answer is, "YES!" The questions is, "Should I go to this restaurant?" When we walked in, we could tell this was a Mexican restaurant offering healthy alternatives. I wanted tacos, but the specialty of the restaurant is rotisserie, so I made a compromise...got both. The meal started out with great chips and guac. The guac tasted fresh and had big chucks of avocado. The shishito peppers were tasty with a little spice to it. I got the fish tacos, and they were deelish. And...for the specialty, got the combo with chicken and tri-tip. One taste, and you'll see how tender the beef is and how good the chicken is. Get whatever sauces you want: chimichuri, mild-medium-hot sauce; they just add to the flavors. We got to the restaurant at a good time and got a seat. People started to line up, but there were enough tables, and some ordered takeout. This is a solid restaurant with tasty food, excellent service, and a good location if you are in South Lake Tahoe. We'll be back!

Decided to give this Mexican food spot a chance after I saw it had some good reviews and some even better food choices. The inside of the restaurant was super clean and nicely decorated. We were greeted warmly by one of the employees and asked if we knew what we wanted. I told her we hadn't been in before so she let us take our time to decide. I looked over the menu and decided on the Chipotle shrimp tacos. I also ordered a side of chips and salsa. The employee told me the tacos came with chips but I went with the extra side for good measure. When the food came out I was impressed with the look of the tacos. A generous amount of shrimp along with maybe a little too much coleslaw. The shrimp were cooked perfectly! Not overdone and rubbery like some restaurants unfortunately cook them to. Unfortunately that's where the good part ends. The chips were super corn forward and a little thicker than most tortilla chips, which made them a little difficult to chew. The salsa was super watery and lacked spice or salt. I know lots of restaurants don't like to salt or season too much so as to not overwhelm some eaters, but I felt like there was no salt in any of the items. All in all this was a decent spot to grab a taco or burrito but beware you'll have to add your own salt or sauces to give it a little better taste.

Not your standard, "walk up and order" type of place. Very modern and clean interior and friendly staff. I tried the Classic Burrito. It has black beans, brown rice, jack cheese, salsa and slow cooked chicken. That thing had some weight to it too! I'll be back!
